TEXTURE SHOW AT OK MAY 24- JUNE 23

The show is on! I can't thank the Ok crew enough for their hard work. It would not have been possible without the hard work of Francesco, Jana, Susan, Jesse and everybody.

One Glass artist - Caleb Seimon
One Ceramic artist - Adam Silverman
One Wood artist - George Peterson

The work submitted for the show is really outstanding. Response has been great. Photos of all the work are posted on a picassa web album (please click on the upper right hand corner of this blog)

So simple, so beautiful. These vintage chandeliers were designed by Angelo Mangiorotti. I really simple beautiful idea. Many simple u-shaped clear glass pieces place together in a kind of mesh. I saw these last week at Gallerie Yves Gastou in Paris.

The Scooters of London

Just back from Paris and London. Lots of great food - just as good in London, as Paris - how things have changed !

I have always loved Italian scooters. Still love the 71 Vespa Sprint i still have, and miss the 53 Lambretta i sold to help finance opening the store.

I saw these lovely rides in London.

Clare Falkenstein - Small Sculptures

Growing up in Southern California, I saw many large fountains and architecturally scaled sculptures consisting of bent pipes. I always liked them but did not know at the time that these were the work of Clare Falkenstein.

These small scale works were done in the 60's. I saw them last night at the Los Angeles Modernism show. Avail at Reform.

More from LA Modernism to follow. Will be in Europe for the next week and will post again when I get home.
